Lucia is an associate in the firm’s Emeryville Office, where she has the privilege of representing victims who have been tragically affected by mesothelioma.
Prior to joining MRHFM, Lucia began her legal career as an immigration attorney at a non-profit organization in San Francisco, where she represented unaccompanied minors and survivors of domestic violence, amongst others, in their immigration proceedings.
Lucia received her law degree from American University Washington College of Law (WCL), where she served as the Legal Director for the International Refugee Assistant Program, Student Advisory Board member for the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, and Podcast Co-Founder and Manager for her law school’s Human Rights Brief. She was a member of WCL’s International Human Rights Clinic where she helped win an asylum case for an environmental activist and his family. Lucia served as a legal assistant for WCL’s Kovler Project Against Torture where she conducted extensive research on State specific non-compliance and drafted memoranda for the Committee Against Torture Chairperson at the Committee’s 68th Session in Geneva, Switzerland.
Outside of the office, Lucia enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her dog: Paxi. She also enjoys snowboarding, traveling, film, and salsa dancing.
